It's a Riot! Puppets was an all volunteer run community based puppet theater from 2011-2014 founded and directed by yours truly. My goal with the project was to create free public rituals using storytelling to expand the notions of what is possible. By using large scale paper-mache puppets to tell stories of relating we bend what the mind interprets as real and open the portal into the creative and spiritual realms.

The shows were 100% community based. Stories developed through public visioning sessions, puppets created during open builds, and the performers were all volunteers from the community. There was always an open space at our table.

And in the end, who doesn't love an extravagant spectacle!
